Bridge Maintenance along Route 9 in Essex

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 9 northbound and southbound in Essex, Monday, September 18, through Friday, September 29, 2017.

·         Bridge #03341-Rte. 153 overpass-3.87

·         Bridge #03342–Rte. 153 overpass-3.88

·         Bridge #03343-Rte. 154 overpass-3.94

The work will be conducted by Dynamic Surface Applications.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect left lane or right lane closures on Rt. 9 SB between Exit 4 to Exit 3 & Rte. 9 NB

between Exit 2 and Exit 3. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the week.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
