Milling and Resurfacing along Turnpike Road (SR 528) in Somers
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Turnpike Road (State Route 528) in Somers, beginning Wednesday, May 17, 2017. Lane Closures will be required.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.59 mile segment of Turnpike Road. The milling portion of this project is scheduled to be on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Monday, May 22, 2017 to Wednesday, May 31, 2017.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Turnpike Road from Route 190 to Route 83. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
