Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 in New Haven

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project

will be performed on I-95 southbound in New Haven, beginning Friday, October 20, 2017.

The project consists of emergency bridge maintenance on I-95 SB Bridge #00174 (Quinnipiac River overpass) in New Haven. This project is scheduled to occur from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. from Friday, October 20, 2017 to the morning of Saturday, October 21, 2017.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2017 bridge maintenance program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect delays on I-95 at Exit 51 (US Route 1) to Exit 48, (TR 813 I-91 NB) in

New Haven. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
