Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 Northbound in Groton

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 northbound in Groton, beginning Monday, May 15, 2017. Lane closures will be required.

The work consists of bridge maintenance on I-95 NB, Bridge #01817, (I-95 NB TR 822 UP) in the town of Groton. This project is scheduled to occur from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2017 to the morning of Friday, June 2, 2017.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect left or right lane closures on I-95 NB at Exit 87 (Clarence B. Sharp Highway), Rt. 349 and the off ramps in Groton. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
