Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing on I-91 Southbound in
North Haven and Wallingford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I-91 southbound in North Haven and Wallingford, beginning Monday, April 17, 2017.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing 5.39 miles of I-91 SB in North Haven and Wallingford. This project is scheduled to occur from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2017 to the morning of Wednesday, June 7, 2017. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, April 17, 2017 through Wednesday, May 10, 2017. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday,
May 14, 2017 through Wednesday, June 7, 2017. (Sunday through Thursday)
No work will occur during the Memorial Day weekend from Friday morning May 26, 2017 through Monday, May 29, 2017. Work will resume on Tuesday night May 30, 2017.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-91 SB from .34 mile south of underpass New Rock Road to the NB end of the Amtrak overpass. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
