Nighttime Street Sweeping on I-84 and Route 8 in Waterbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a nighttime street sweeping project on I-84 EB & WB & Route 8 NB & SB in Waterbury, overnight beginning at 8 pm Wednesday to 3 am Thursday, May 24 & 25, 2017.

This work will occur on:

·         Waterbury - I-84  in both directions from Exit 17 to Exit 25

·         Waterbury – Rt. 8 northbound from Exit 29 to Exit 35

Impact Attenuators, signing patterns, and cones will be utilized to guide motorists through the worksite.  Traffic will be alternating from left lane to right lane. 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
