Surveying along Route 15 Northbound and Southbound in New Canaan, Norwalk and Westport

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a surveying operation will be performed on Route 15 Northbound and Southbound in New Canaan, Norwalk and Westport beginning Saturday, October 21, 2017.

     The project consists of surveying which will be performed on Route 15 Northbound and Southbound in New Canaan, Norwalk and Westport. This survey work is being completed in advance of DOT Project Number 102-296, the Bridge and Safety Improvements of Route 15. This project is scheduled to occur on Saturday, October 21, 2017 for Route 15 Northbound and on Sunday, October 22, 2017 for Route 15 Northbound and Southbound.

The surveying operation will be performed by state forces. 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 15 Northbound between Exit 37 (Route 124, South Ave) and Exit 41 (Route 33, Wilton Road) in New Canaan, Norwalk and Westport.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
