Avon Mountain Truck Ramp Maintenance

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing an Avon Mountain truck ramp maintenance project on Route 44 westbound in Avon, beginning Thursday, April 19, 2018.

The project consists of closing the truck ramp for maintenance on Rt. 44, WB in Avon.

The project is scheduled to occur Thursday, April 19, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a scheduled rain date of Friday, April 20, 2018. 

The work is being performed by state forces.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect the right shoulder and the truck ramp to be closed.  Signing patterns and cones will be utilized to guide motorists through the worksite.  The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
