Bridge Maintenance on I-91 Southbound in Meriden
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-91 Southbound in Meriden, beginning Monday, September 24, 2018.
The project consists of the removal of an Overhead Sign Support truss that was damaged overnight by a vehicular accident on I-91 Southbound at Exit 18 in Meriden. This emergency work is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018 and continue until complete.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-91 Southbound between Exit 19 and 18 (I-691WB). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. This work will also include a full, short-term shutdown of I-91 Southbound to facilitate the removal of the full-spanning truss.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
