Guiderail Upgrade along Route 190 in Enfield and Somers

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that guiderail upgrades will be performed on Route 190 in Enfield and Somers, beginning Monday, October 22, 2018.

The project consists of upgrading guiderail over a 9.47 mile segment of Route 190 in Enfield and Somers. This work is anticipated to begin on Route 190 from the entrance to Hartford Hospital Health Center in Enfield to the entrance to Magauran Drive in Somers on Monday October 22, 2018 to Friday, November 30, 2018.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 190 in Enfield from the entrance to Hartford Hospital Health Center to the entrance to Saint Francis Care Center on Monday and Tuesday night October 22 and 23, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. The remainder of the project will be conducted during the daytime. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for upgrading the guiderail is 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday) 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
