The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that intermittent traffic stoppages on I-95 Northbound and I-95 Southbound between Exits 43 and 44 are scheduled during the overnight period from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2018, in New Haven and West Haven.  

The traffic stoppages on I-95 are necessary to facilitate the installation of an overhead sign structure.  Traffic will be allowed to be halted for a period not to exceed twenty (20) minutes before all lanes must be reopened.  Subsequent traffic stoppages will not be allowed until traffic is flowing similar to the pre-stoppage condition.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
