Light Pole and Luminaire Replacement at Exit 28N off ramp from Route 2 EB to I-395

 in Norwich

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a light pole and luminaire replacement project will be performed at the Exit 28N off ramp from Route 2 EB to I-395 northbound in Norwich, beginning Wednesday, September 26, 2018.

The project consists of replacing a light pole and luminaire at the Exit 28N off ramp from Route 2 eastbound toI-395 northbound in Norwich and will require a temporary ramp closure.  The project work is scheduled for Wednesday, September 26, 2018, with a rain date of Thursday, September 28, 2018.      

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect a ramp closure to occur at the Exit 28N off ramp from Route 2 EB to I-395 NB in Norwich.  Variable message boards will be set up approximately one (1) week prior to the work beginning.   A temporary detour will be in place utilizing state roads only.  Crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the detour. The ramp closure will be in effect for approximately one (1) hour and will occur sometime between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
