Milling and Resurfacing Project, Route 1 and SR 493 in Stamford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 1 and SR 493 in Stamford.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing 2.16 miles of Route 1 and 0.34 miles of SR 493. This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, September 9, 2018, through Monday, October 1, 2018. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, September 9, 2018, through Tuesday, September 25, 2018. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, September 16, 2018, through Monday, October 1, 2018.
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 1 from Clinton Avenue to the Darien town line and on SR 493 (Washington Blvd) from Station Place to US 1 (Tresser Blvd). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
