            Milling Keyway Cuts for Nighttime Resurfacing Project on, I-95

                                           in Norwalk and Westport

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling keyway cuts for a nighttime resurfacing project will continue on I-95 northbound and southbound in Norwalk and Westport through Saturday, September 22, 2018.

The project consists of resurfacing 1.84 miles of I-95 NB & SB in Norwalk and Westport.  This project is scheduled to occur from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday, September 17, 2018 to the morning of Saturday, September 22, 2018.

The milling of the keyway cuts are scheduled to occur Friday night, September 14, 2018 and Sunday night, September 16, 2018.

The milling of the keyway cuts operation will be performed by State Forces

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 NB & SB from Exit 15 (Route 7) to Exit 18 (SR 476, Sherwood Island Connector). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. and the milling of the keyway cuts are scheduled for Friday night from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and Sunday night from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
