Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-91 Southbound in Hartford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on the I-91 southbound in Hartford, beginning Tuesday, September 4, 2018.

    The project consists of bridge maintenance on I-91 SB, Bridge #1469B (Connecticut Southern Rail Road overpass) in Hartford. This work is scheduled to occur from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 to the morning of Friday October 5, 2018.

This work is being performed by “Hammonasset Construction LLC.”

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorist can expect alternating lane closures on I-91 SB between Exit 29A (Capitol Area) and Exit 27 (Airport Road) in Hartford. Traffic control personnel, State police and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday through Thursday evenings)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
