Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-91 SB in Wallingford & North Haven

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will continue on I-91 southbound in Wallingford and North Haven through Friday, September 7, 2018. Work hours will be 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The following bridges will be worked on:

·         Bridge #03128B Wallingford

·         Bridge #03124 Wallingford

·         Bridge #03122 Wallingford

·         Bridge #03119 North Haven

·         Bridge #03117B North Haven

No lane closures will occur from 6:00 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2018 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018, due to the Labor Day holiday

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2018 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Dynamic Surface Application.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-91 SB between Exit 14 (East Center Street) and Exit 12 (Washington Avenue) in Wallingford & North Haven.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday through Thursday evenings)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
