Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing of Willimantic Bridge
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on South St. (SR 660) eastbound and westbound in Willimantic beginning May 10, 2018.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing Bridge #06558 in Willimantic. This project is scheduled to occur Thursday, May 10, 2018 through Saturday, May 19, 2018. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Thursday, May 10, 2018 through Friday, May 11, 2018. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Friday, May 18, 2018 through Saturday, May 19, 2018. Rain dates would be Saturday, May 19, 2018 through Sunday, May 20, 2018 or Sunday, May 20, 2018 through Monday, May 21, 2018.

Motorists can expect alternating traffic control on South St. (SR 660) eastbound and westbound between Windham Road (Route 32) onto Main Street from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorist through the work zone.
Friday, May 18th, 2018
Motorists can expect a detour from Windham Road (Route 32), Pleasant Street, Bridge Street, and return onto Main Street from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists to bypass the work zone with traffic pattern from Friday, 8:00 p.m. – Saturday, 11:00 p.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
