Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing on Route 8 Northbound in Bridgeport and Trumbull
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 8 Northbound in Bridgeport and Trumbull beginning Wednesday, May 30, 2018.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing 2.36 miles of Route 8 Northbound in Bridgeport and Trumbull. This project is scheduled to occur Wednesday, May 30, 2018 through Thursday, June 28, 2018. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 through Friday, June 8, 2018. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, June 17, 2018 through Thursday, June 28, 2018. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2018 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 8 Northbound from .01 mile north of northbound end overpass Capital Ave to .03 mile south of northbound begin overpass SR 711 (Huntington Turnpike). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
