Nighttime Resurfacing of SR 661 (Thread City Crossing) in Willimantic; Detour Required

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on SR 661 (Thread City Crossing) eastbound and westbound in Willimantic, overnight Monday, May 21, to Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Work hours will be 8 p.m. to 6 p.m.

This is Bridge No. 06558 in Willimantic. 

Motorists can expect a detour from Windham Road (Route 32), Pleasant Street, Bridge Street, and return onto Main Street from Monday, 8:00 p.m. to Tuesday, 6:00 p.m.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists to bypass the work zone with appropriate traffic pattern.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
