Nighttime Resurfacing Project along Route 12 in Killingly
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 12 in Killingly, beginning Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Work hours will be 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.16 mile segment of Route 12 in Killingly. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Wednesday evening, August 22, 2018, through Saturday morning, August 25, 2018. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Wednesday evening, August 29, 2018, through Friday morning, August 31, 2018.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2018 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 12 from Route 6 to Morin Avenue in Killingly. Two (2) state troopers (if available), one (1) American Ind. Inc. traffic controller, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. If the state troopers are unavailable, two (2) additional American Ind. Inc. traffic controllers may be used. This is a nighttime operation. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
