Nighttime Resurfacing Project along Route 218 in Bloomfield
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 218 in Bloomfield, beginning Sunday, August 26, 2018. Work hours will be 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 3.95 mile segment of Route 218 in Bloomfield. The milling portion of this project is scheduled to begin on Sunday, August 26, 2018 to Thursday, September 13, 2018. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Sunday, September 16, 2018 to Tuesday, October 2, 2018.
No work will be performed on the day before or after the Labor Day Holiday.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2018 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 218 in Bloomfield from Route 189 to Route 187. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
