Nighttime Rumble Strip Installation on I-95 in Stonington

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime rumble strip installation project will be performed on I-95 northbound and southbound in Stonington, beginning Thursday, October 11, 2018.

This project is scheduled to be performed from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018, to the morning of Friday, October 12, 2018. 

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on I-95 NB & SB in Stonington from 0.04 mi. south of the northbound exit to Route 27 to 0.04 mi. south of the northbound begin overpass to Taugwonk Road.  Two state troopers, four crash attenuator vehicles, overhead variable message boards, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Thursday - Friday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
