Nighttime Sign Support Repair along I-95 Southbound in Westport

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project for sign support repair will be performed on I-95 Southbound in Westport, beginning Wednesday and Thursday, October 31-November 1, 2018.

The project consists of repairs to sign support #20264 located on the Hales Road overpass over I-95 Southbound in Westport.  Work hours will be 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2018 to the morning of Thursday, November 1, 2018.

The work is being performed by the state forces.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect various lane closures on I-95 Southbound between Exits 18 (Sherwood Island Connector) and 17 (Westport/Saugatuck).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Wednesday evening).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
