Nighttime Street Sweeping along I-84 in Newtown, Danbury & Bethel

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing nighttime street sweeping on I-84 eastbound and westbound in Newtown, Danbury and Bethel, overnight Thursday to Friday, June 21-22, 2018. Work hours will be 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

The project consists of street sweeping on I-84 from Exit 9 in Newtown to the New York State Line.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Impact attenuators, signing patterns and cones will be utilized go guide motorists through the worksite.  Traffic will be alternating from left lane to right lane.  The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. (Thursday evening) 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
