Pedestrian Bridge Demolition over Route 1 in Stamford; Detour Required
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a pedestrian bridge demolition project will be performed over Route 1 (Tresser Boulevard) at Route 137 (Washington Boulevard) in Stamford, Saturday and Sunday, November 10-11, 2018.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect a road closure on Route 1 (Tresser Boulevard) Northbound and Southbound between Route 137 (Washington Boulevard) and Atlantic Street. Motorists will use the following routes during the detour:
If travelling through downtown, follow the detour to Broad Street at East Main Street, then south on Route 137 (Washington Boulevard) and back to Route 1 (Tresser Boulevard). If travelling Westbound of East Main Street, follow the detour at Atlantic Street via North State Street and then back to Route 1 (Tresser Boulevard). All Eastbound traffic will be directed North on Route 137 (Washington Boulevard), then East on Main Street and back to Route 1 (Tresser Boulevard) via Atlantic St.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the detour.
The work schedule for this project will be continuous from Saturday 0:00 a.m. to Sunday 11:59 p.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
