The Connecticut Department of Transportation (Department) will conduct a public informational meeting regarding a proposed roundabout on Route 10/202 at East Street and Notch Road in Granby. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, in the Granby Senior Center, 15C North Granby Road, Granby, Connecticut, 06035. A design presentation will start at 7:00 PM and a question and answer period immediately following.
The purpose of this project is to address safety at the intersection of Route 10/202 at East Street and Notch Road. The project consists of removing the existing flashing beacon and constructing a modern roundabout.
The present schedule indicates that construction is anticipated to begin in spring 2020. The estimated construction cost for the state designed project is approximately $4.1 million. Funding is anticipated to be undertaken with eighty percent federal funds and twenty percent state funds.
The public informational meeting is being held to offer a full opportunity for public participation and to allow open discussion of any views and comments the community may have concerning the proposed roundabout on Route 10/202 at East Street and Notch Road.
The meeting facility is ADA accessible. Language assistance may be requested by contacting the Department’s Language Assistance Call Line at (860) 594-2109, requests should be made at least five (5) business days prior to the meeting. Persons having a hearing and/or speech disability may dial 711 for Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) and instruct the operator to contact (860) 594-2243.
