The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of the rehabilitation of Bridge 00847 in Willington.  Construction activities are slated to begin on or around the week of 05/07/2018.

The rehabilitation includes a superstructure replacement providing two simple spans consisting of steel beams with a composite reinforced concrete deck.  The superstructure replacement will be completed in a single stage, during which Potter School Road over the bridge will be fully closed.  A press release will be issued prior to this closure.   

DOT Project No. 0171-0431, was awarded to The Middlesex Corp., of Littleton Massachusetts on August 24, 2017 at a cost of $22,067,950.00 and is scheduled to be completed in January, 2020. 

Typical Daytime and Nighttime lane closures will be necessary to facilitate the improvements.

Expect daytime temporary shoulder and lane closures Monday Through Friday from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M.; and on Saturdays.

Expect nighttime shoulder and lane closures Monday through Friday from 6 P.M. to 6 A.M.; and on Saturdays.
