Rehabilitation of Bridge 06692, Route 63 (Straits Turnpike) over Wooster Brook in Middlebury
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that milling and paving will begin on Monday April 23, 2018, on Route 63 located approximately 0.1 miles south of I-84 in Middlebury. Completion of paving activity is anticipated on Wednesday April 25, 2018. All work is “weather permitting”.
The milling and paving is necessary to complete work associated with the installation of a new culvert at Wooster Brook along Route 63 in the Town of Middlebury.
Project No. 0080-0130 was awarded to Schultz Corporation of Terryville, Connecticut on March 27, 2017 at a cost of $1,756,446.94 and is scheduled to be completed in May 2018.

The project is currently configured in Stage 2 and the roadway will be opened to the final full width configuration which is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.
