Resurfacing along Route 66 in Columbia
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 66 in Columbia, beginning Monday, September 10, 2018.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 4.97 mile segment of Route 66 in Columbia. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Monday, September 10, 2018 through Friday, September 14, 2018. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, September 17, 2018, through Friday, September 28, 2018.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 66 from the Hebron Town Line to Route 6 in Columbia. One (1) state trooper, two (2) American Industries Inc. traffic controllers, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
