Safety Improvement Project along Route 1A in Stonington

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a safety improvement project will be performed on Route 1A in Stonington, beginning Monday, June 25, 2018.

The project consists of installing guide rail on Route 1A in Stonington.  This project is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 25, 2018, through Friday, July 13, 2018. 

This work is being performed by PGP Group, dba Atlas Companies.  The vendor shall supply the Call-Before-You-Dig number for this location.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 1A from Route 1 (Stonington/Westerly Road) to Route 1 (Stonington/Westerly Road) in Stonington.  PGP Group, dba Atlas Companies traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Monday – Friday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
