The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the resumption of construction activity for repairs on Bridge N719 and Bridge 530B between Exit 39 and Exit 40 on the northbound and southbound lanes of the Merritt Parkway in Norwalk. 

Bridge 719 on the Merritt Parkway over Perry Avenue will have construction activities involving patching and rubbing the parapet wall on the northbound side of the bridge at the west end and  patching  and sealing the base of the concrete curb along the gutter line of the bridge.  Bridge 530B on the Merritt Parkway over Main Avenue will have construction activities involving sealing the new concrete curb along the northbound and southbound side of the bridge.

Project No. 173-430 was awarded to Blakeslee Arpaia Chapman on April 28, 2014 with an initial cost of $3,460,105.90.  The project is anticipated to be completed July 15, 2018.  This project is administered by the Office of Construction – District 3 in New Haven.

Merritt Parkway:

Lane closures will be between 8 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Monday June 4, 2018 to Thursday June 7, 2018.

Merritt Parkway NB at Bridge No. 719, over Perry Ave:Monday June 4, 2018 and Tuesday, June 5, 2018 between 8 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Merritt Parkway NB at Bridge No. 530B, over Main Avenue:  Tuesday June 5, 2018 between 12:00 pm and 6:00 AM.

Merritt Parkway SB at Bridge No. 530B, over Main Avenue: Wednesday, June 6, 2018 between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

Merritt Parkway SB at Bridge No. 530B, over Main Avenue:  Thursday, June 7, 2018 between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
