Thin Surface Treatment along I-84 in East Hartford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on the I-84 westbound HOV lane in East Hartford on Saturday, September 29, 2018.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.44 mile segment of the roadway.

       This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2018 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect the HOV lane to be closed on I-84 WB in East Hartford from west of the Robert Street overpass to east of the access from northbound US 5 (Main Street).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Saturday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
