Thin Surface Treatment on I-84 Westbound HOV Lane in East Hartford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I-84 westbound in the HOV lane in East Hartford, beginning Saturday, September 22, 2018.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.44 mile segment of the HOV lane.  The resurfacing of this project is anticipated to be on Saturday, September 22, 2018 with a rain date of Saturday, September 29, 2018.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect the HOV lane to be closed on I-84 WB in East Hartford from west of the Robert Street overpass to east of the access from northbound US 5 (Main Street).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Saturday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
