Tree Removal along Merritt Parkway (Route 15) in Greenwich,
Stamford and New Canaan
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a tree removal operation will be performed along the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) northbound and southbound in Greenwich, Stamford and New Canaan, beginning Saturday, August 18, 2018.
Body of the Message
The project consists of cutting dead trees, high limbing and clearing signs which will be performed on Route 15 in Greenwich, Stamford and New Canaan. This project is scheduled to occur Saturday, August 18, 2018 and Sunday, August 19, 2018.
The tree removal operation will be performed by state forces.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 15 NB & SB between Exit 31 (North Street #1) and Exit 36 (Route 106, Old Stamford Road) in Greenwich, Stamford and New Canaan. A moveable sign pattern will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
