Tree Removal and Trimming along I-291 in Windsor

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that tree removal and trimming work will be performed on the I-291 westbound in Windsor on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Exit 2B, the ramp to I-91 northbound.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect a ramp closure to occur on I-291 WB Exit 2B (the ramp to I-91 NB ramp) in Windsor. Truck mounted attenuators, traffic control personnel, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through this detour. The regular work schedule for this project is from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

DETOUR INFORMATION

Motorists will be directed to Exit 2A, I-91 SB to Exit 34 (North Main Street) then left at the end of the ramp and right onto Meadow Street to reach the I-91 north entrance ramp.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
