The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled lane closures and detour of I-91 NB Exits 32A and B for the rehabilitation of Bridge  01469A in Hartford, starting on Friday April 27, 2018.

The project consists of deck patching, applying new membrane waterproofing and bituminous concrete overlay, deck joint replacement, structural steel repairs with field touch-up painting, painting of structural steel at deck joints, substructure beam cap repairs, abutment and pedestal repairs, and restoring/improving under-bridge drainage.

DOT Project No. 0063-0692 was awarded to Rotha Contracting Company, Inc. at a cost of $4,599,397.50 on December 22, 2016, and is scheduled to be completed September 14, 2018.

LANE CLOSURE AND DETOUR INFO
The contractor will be permitted to close I-91 NB Exits 32A / 32B and maintain one lane of traffic for a maximum of five weekends from Friday 11 PM to Monday 6 AM.  The weekend closures are scheduled to begin Friday April 27, 2018, and continue throughout the month of May, weather permitting.  A detour will be put in place for the duration of the weekend work that requires closures of Exits 32A / 32B.  Motorists will detour from I-91 NB to Exit 33 Jennings Road, take a left at the end of the ramp and re-enter I-91 SB to Exits 32A / 32B.

This weekend work is in addition to the regular nightly lane closures permitted within the area as noted below.

Monday through Thursday: 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Friday: 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Saturday: 7:00 PM to 9:00 AM
Sunday: 7:00 PM to 11:00 AM

Ramps and Turning Roadways
Monday through Friday: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

SR 598 (Whitehead Highway and Sheldon Street On-Ramp)
Monday through Friday: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday: 6:00 PM to 10:00 AM

All Other Roadways
