I-95 Southbound Exit 26 On-Ramp From Wordin Ave. Scheduled To Be Closed September 9 – 12, 2005
Bridgeport, Connecticut – Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that the I-95 southbound Exit 26 on-ramp from Wordin Avenue is scheduled to be closed this weekend. The closure will begin at 11:00pm on Friday night, September 9 and continue through early Monday morning, September 12. The ramp is scheduled to reopen at 5:00am.
The closure is necessary in order to perform work on the I-95 bridge over Hancock Avenue. Traffic will be detoured to the I-95 southbound Exit 25 on-ramp from Commerce Drive. Signs will be utilized to direct motorists through the detour: north on Wordin to Railroad Ave. to Fairfield Ave. to Commerce Drive.
Motorists are urged to proceed with caution and obey the posted 45-mph speed limit, established in 1997, for the Bridgeport Corridor construction zone, which spans from
Exit 24 to Exit 30 northbound and southbound on I-95.
