PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING

Major Widening of Route 7

The Connecticut Department of Transportation in cooperation with the Town of Wilton will be holding a public information meeting to discuss the reconstruction and widening of U.S. Route 7 from Wolfpit Road (Route 106) to Olmstead Hill Road.

The project is one of a series of major highway capitol projects for the reconstruction and widening of portions of U.S. Route 7 in Danbury, Norwalk and Wilton. 

The contract was awarded on August 11, 2006 to Tilcon Connecticut Inc. of New Britain, CT. at a contract value of $35 million.  Work began September 13, 2006 and is scheduled for completion in 2010.

Residents, commuters, and other interested individuals are encouraged to attend. An overview of the project will be presented.
