           The state Department of Transportation is soliciting, through the Department of Administrative Services, an Invitation to Bid for Trucks with Operators on the State Contracting Portal. The DOT is seeking bidders to assist in snow removal on highways throughout the State of Connecticut.

          In a change from previous years, the Department is requesting trucks in three categories beginning with a GVWR of 19,500 lbs and above. These trucks are required to supplement the current Department of Transportation fleet of plow trucks. Trucks with their operators that are awarded to this contract will be assigned to assist a Maintenance District in snow removal operations.  Bid information can be obtained at http://www.das.state.ct.us/rfpdoc/008_0232.pdf.
