The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a public informational meeting will be held to discuss the findings of the final phase of the Buckland Area Transportation study.
The public information meeting is being held to apprise residents, business owners, commuters, or other interested stakeholders of important study developments. Study representatives will present and discuss the findings of the “Draft Final Report”, which details the recommended improvements within the study area. This study is being carried out by the Department of Transportation in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG), and area municipalities (
The study is led by the Department’s Office of Intermodal Planning, and includes the consulting firm of Dewberry-Goodkind, Inc. An advisory group comprised of representatives of federal and state agencies, towns, CRCOG, and public and private transportation stakeholders have assisted in the study development process.
