DOT to Present Recent Results of Flower Street Crossing Closure Study
To Neighborhood Groups
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) is presenting the results of a recent pedestrian and vehicular study regarding the upcoming Flower Street crossing closure at two community meetings in Hartford this week.
DOT officials will meet with concerned Asylum Hill residents at the Asylum Hill Congregational Church, 814 Asylum Avenue today at 5:30 p.m. and Frog Hollow residents on Thursday, September 27, at The Lyceum, 227 Lawrence Street at 5 p.m.
Previously, area business representatives and residents met about the Flower Street crossing closure and discussed their concerns about the vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle traffic changes. Subsequently, the DOT studied various options and will present revised plans at this week's meetings. The DOT will be seeking input and suggestions on the proposals during these meetings.
