Substitute Buses for Some Trains on Waterbury Branch this Weekend
Buses will be substituted for some trains on the Waterbury Branch of the New Haven Line this Friday, Saturday and Sunday (September 26-28) to accommodate work on a rail bridge in Seymour. The Waterbury branch operates between Waterbury and Bridgeport.
On Friday, buses will be used for the following trains leaving Waterbury for Bridgeport: 9:12 a.m., 12:10 p.m., 2:10 p.m., 4:51 p.m., 7:17 p.m. and 9:58 p.m. Also Friday, buses will be used for the following trains leaving Bridgeport for Waterbury: 8:02 a.m., 10:41 a.m., 12:59 p.m., 3:41 p.m., 6:00 p.m., 8:32 p.m. and 11:13 p.m.
On Saturday and Sunday, buses will be substituted for the following trains leaving Waterbury: 7:10 a.m., 10:10 a.m., 1:10 p.m., 4:10 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. The following trains leaving Bridgeport for Waterbury will also have substitute bus service: 8:43 a.m., 11:41 a.m., 2:41 p.m., 6:41 p.m. and 11:02 p.m.
Buses may operate earlier than scheduled trains and customers are urged to listen for announcements and check local or express bus service to their destination while boarding.
The Waterbury Branch is 27 miles long, with stations in Waterbury, Naugatuck, Beacon Falls, Seymour, Ansonia, Derby/Shelton and Bridgeport.
