REQUEST FOR QUOTES: CDL – Class B Driver Training
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is seeking an accredited Commercial Drivers License (CDL) training school to provide CDL - Class B Commercial Driver training for a 1-year period to women, minorities, veterans, and economically disadvantaged individuals in Connecticut.
CTDOT will make $36,472 available to an accredited CDL training school to conduct this training. The budgeted amount to provide this training is not to exceed $36,472 and must cover all costs for CDL - Class B Driver training, DMV Fees, and Medical Examinations.
The chosen CDL training school will be responsible for the training, reporting, and tracking of the participants through graduation and job placement as available, utilizing forms provided by CTDOT’s Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity.
This CDL - Class B Driver Training Program is designed to support outreach efforts to attract women, minorities, veterans, and economically disadvantaged individuals for employment in the Federal-Aid Highway Construction Industry and transportation-related careers requiring a CDL - Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Proposers shall submit a written response addressing each of the selection criteria below, to enable comparison. Failure to provide such information will be reflected in the scoring of your proposal:
1. Number of participants you are able to train while staying within the allocated budget
2. Must be willing to track participants through graduation and job placement, as available, utilizing tracking forms provided by CTDOT’s Office of Equal Opportunity & Diversity.
3. Proven track record of successful graduates obtaining licenses after receiving training, i.e., 80% success rate.
4. Must be an accredited training school that can provide CDL - Class B Training in the State of Connecticut.

6. Number of years your business has been in operation
7. Any promotional literature about your school and/or a link to your website
