CTDOT Rail & Bus Fare Hearings Schedule
30-Day Comment Period Ends September 15, 2016
The Connecticut Department of Transportation today announced a series of public hearings around the state and is inviting the public to comment on proposed bus and rail fare increases. The proposed increase would take effect December 1, 2016, on CTrail New Haven Line and Shore Line East, and on December 4, 2016, on CTtransit buses. Additionally, bus service tariffs are proposed to be amended to allow for the implementation of a new account-based smart card fare payment system.
The public may get more information, including the proposed rail and bus fare tables, at www.ct.gov/dot/farecomments. Comments on the fare changes are encouraged and can be emailed to the DOT at dot.farecomments@ct.gov or mailed to:
