UPDATE #6
Statewide Travel Ban Lifted; Rail, Bus Service Returning to Normal
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) have announced that a statewide travel ban had been lifted and that rail and bus service would gradually return to normal on Wednesday, March 15, 2017.
"Although we expect New Haven Line, Shore Line East, CTtransit and CTfastrak services to be back in service, travelers should expect service delays and crowding," said CTDOT Commissioner James. P. Redeker. "Also, the condition of local roads and parking lots will vary greatly, so we’re urging travelers to check with their service provider for the latest information before they travel."
Public transit customers may check for updates at www.mta.info, www.amtrak.com, www.shorelineeast.com,www.cttransit.com, www.ctfastrak.com and www.cttravelsmart.org.
The Governor encouraged everyone in Connecticut to continually monitor local media outlets as further announcements from the state regarding the storm will be made.
