Bus Service to Supplement Rail Service on Shore Line East
Because of equipment issues, buses will supplement rail service on Shore Line East beginning Friday, January 12, 2018. This is because of the fact that several locomotives had to be taken out of service for repairs and upgrades.
Shore Line East is the commuter rail line that operates between New London and New Haven.
SLE is in the process of bringing another train online to alleviate recent delays and cancellations.
In the meantime, ONLY trains #1621, #1602 and #1649 will remain with bus service for Friday, January 12, 2018. This will continue through Monday, January 22, 2018.
