New Haven-Hartford-Springfield (NHHS) Rail Program
Construction Update: Town of Windsor – Railroad Crossing Activity
(Daytime/Overnight Hours)
September 6-12, 2018
Beginning on Thursday, September 6th at 6:00 a.m. and continuing through Tuesday, September 11th at 6:00 p.m. the existing Central Street railroad crossing in Windsor will be closed to through traffic to allow for improvements to the crossing.
In addition, work will occur on Batchelder Road beginning on Monday, September 10th until Wednesday, September 12th, during the daytime hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. There will be temporary lane closures with alternating one-way traffic.
There will be construction noise throughout this period and temporary lighting to support overnight work in the area.
Traffic personnel will be in place throughout the duration of construction. Signs, variable message boards and detour routes alerting the public of the detour/closure will be posted on-site.
