Welcome to the webpage for State Project No. 0141-0158, Replacement of Bridge No. 03474, Route 200 (Thompson Hill Road) over Interstate 395, in the Town of Thompson.
A virtual public informational meeting for the project will be held on Monday, July 1 at 7:00 p.m.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide the community an opportunity to learn about the proposed project and allow an open discussion of any views and comments concerning the proposed improvements. A Q&A session will immediately follow the presentation.
The purpose of the project is to address the existing structural deficiencies of Bridge No. 03474.
This project will involve the complete replacement of Bridge No. 03474. The replacement bridge will consist of two single-span superstructures supported by Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil – Integrated Bridge System (GRS-IBS) abutments and a GRS-IBS common abutment. The new out-to-out width of the bridge will be 52’-6”. The proposed superstructure for this alternative will have two single-span lengths of 85’-0” each and consist of eight steel-rolled beams with a composite deck slab, 3-inch wearing surface, and 42-inch-high vertical shape parapets on both sides.
Right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed project are not anticipated.
Construction is anticipated to begin Fall 2026 based on the availability of funding and approval of permit(s). The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $13,500,000.
