OSD is structured into eight service areas. Each service area provides OSD’s comprehensive core services aligned to the service area. Each service area is staffed with subject matter experts.
Administrative and Financial Support Services Area
The Administrative and Financial Support Services area provides management and administrative support for the OSD staff, coordinates training engagements, tracks financials, analyzes business metrics, supports audits, orders, organizes and delivers training materials, manages financial transactions, works with vendors, and manages the DSSLearnCenter - class posting, enrollments, learner history, reporting, and troubleshooting.
Eligibility Curriculum for Orientation, Reinforcement and Enrichment (CORE) Services Area
The Eligibility CORE Services Area provides organizational development support, instructional design and delivery for eligibility employees who are new to the function of eligibility. Comprehensive training is provided on all functions of eligibility and eligibility programs.
Eligibility Services Area
The Eligibility Services Area provides advanced level organizational development support, instructional design and delivery for eligibility employees who are experienced in eligibility.
Non-Eligibility Programs Service Area
The Non-Eligibility Programs Service Area provides organizational development support, instructional design and delivery for new and experienced employees in Child Support, Social Work and Resources and Client Fraud Investigations.
Media and Graphics Service Area
The Media and Graphics Service Area provides video production, photography, graphic design, presentation design, and electronic signage support services for DSS.
Leadership and Professional Development Services Area
The Leadership and Professional Development Services Area provides organizational development support, instructional design and delivery services in workplace fundamentals, requirements, leadership and professional development.
Project Support Services Area
The Project Support Services Area is dedicated to project support in areas of change management, business process design, organizational development support, instructional design and delivery for DSS Projects. Those projects include CT METS, Quality Assurance Audits training for Providers and the Fatherhood Initiative.
Systems and Technology Services Area
The Systems and Technology Services Area provides organizational development support, instructional design and delivery services in the area of computer software applications training like the Microsoft Office Suite, web-based training and DSS computer applications. The area also supports the technical environments used for delivering computer applications training and the DSS Learning Management System.
