Gov. Malloy: Historic Agreement Leads to Billions in Transportation Investment, the Largest in Connecticut History
Working with House and Senate leaders, Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the budget agreement reached with the House and Senate last night will fund the historic transportation agenda put forth by Governor Malloy earlier this year. This agreement will lead to the largest investment in transportation in Connecticut history.

Gov. Malloy to Sign Legislation Creating Long Island Sound "Blue Plan"
Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced today that he plans to sign legislation he introduced earlier this year establishing a Long Island Sound Blue Plan, which was unanimously approved by the State Senate last night in concurrence with the House of Representatives, which passed the bill in April.

Gov. Malloy Reminds Residents that Atlantic Hurricane Season Begins June 1
With the 2015 Atlantic Hurricane Season beginning June 1, Governor Dannel P. Malloy today is reminding Connecticut residents to be prepared for any severe weather that may impact the state. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, with the principal threat period for Connecticut occurring between mid-August and mid-October.

Gov. Malloy: Connecticut Receives MacArthur Foundation Award to Reduce the Use of Jails
The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation today announced that the State of Connecticut is one of 20 jurisdictions selected to receive a $150,000 grant to create a fairer, more effective local justice system. The grant is a part of the Safety and Justice Challenge, the Foundation's $75 million initiative to reduce over-incarceration by changing the way America thinks about and uses jails.

Thursday: Gov. Malloy Participates in Workforce Development Roundtable with U.S. Labor Secretary Perez
On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join U.S. Labor Secretary Thomas E. Perez, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, Congressman Joe Courtney, business leaders, educators, and advocates at Electric Boat in Groton for a roundtable discussion on workforce development and efforts to deliver the tools necessary for residents to compete for 21st Century jobs. Friday: Gov. Malloy Participates in Hammonasset Beach Groundbreaking; Tours Attractions on the Shoreline
On Friday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will participate in the groundbreaking ceremony to commemorate the start of major improvements at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison, including a new Meigs Point Nature Center and improvements to West Beach, which was damaged by recent severe storms. He will be joined by Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Commissioner Rob Klee, Department of Administrative Services Commissioner Melody Currey, First Selectman Fillmore McPherson, park advocates, and other state and local officials.
